Kcalm Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Kcalm mobile app for iOS, published by Backfin Labs. It explains what the app collects, why, who else ever sees it, how long we keep it, and how to make us delete it.

What Kcalm collects

Nothing. Kcalm does not collect, transmit or store any personal information. Everything the app records stays on your device and is deleted when you delete the app.

How it's collected

Kcalm has no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no crash-reporting service that transmits off your device.

Who else sees it

Nobody. We do not sell, rent or share your data. There are no advertising networks, no analytics vendors and no third-party SDKs in Kcalm that receive information about you. If that ever changes, this section changes first and we will say so in the release notes.

How long we keep it

There is nothing on our side to keep. Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it or remove the app.

Withdrawing consent and deleting your data

You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the app, which removes everything it stored on your device.

Children

Kcalm is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what the app collects, we update this page and the "last updated" date above, and we update our declarations in both app stores at the same time.

Kcalm is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. The daily targets it calculates are estimates produced by standard formulas from the information you enter — a starting point, not a prescription.

Talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before making significant changes to what you eat, particularly if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18, are managing a condition such as diabetes or kidney disease, or take medication affected by diet. And if tracking food is making you anxious, or you are worried about your relationship with eating, step away from the numbers and talk to a qualified professional — that matters more than any target in this app.
